Welcome to the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures
You can major or minor in French, German, Italian or Spanish or take courses in Chinese and Arabic.
Courses are taught in the language you’re studying so you’ll become proficient and comfortable speaking and writing as you earn your degree.
You’ll have multiple opportunities to immerse yourself in the culture you study—in the classroom, through activities and clubs on campus, by living with other majors and minors in on-campus housing, and by studying abroad through our award-winning Global Opportunities program.
